Whether your child wants to join Rainbows (4-7), Brownies (7-10), Guides (10-14) or Rangers (14-18), start their Girlguiding journey here. 

To join over 300,000 girls across the UK, begin by registering interest and finding out about units (local Girlguiding groups) in your area.  

There are so many reasons to join Girlguiding! We offer a safe, girl-only space in which your child can build confidence, learn new skills and discover who they want to be. We’ve got an action-packed programme with something for every girl, and we work to be truly girl-led in everything we do.  

How registration works

1. Register your interest – we'll ask for your contact details and a few key pieces of information about your child.

2. Choose the best unit for you – we'll use your details to suggest several local units. Then it's up to you to choose the most convenient one. You can select up to 3 choices.

3. We'll get in touch – someone from your chosen unit will contact you. They'll aim to get back to you within 3 weeks. They can explain to you about meetings times, costs, what's planned for the term and if there's a waiting list.

4. Try guiding out – if spaces are available, the unit will arrange a trial meeting for your child to attend. This gives you both an idea of what guiding is all about – we're sure you'll love it!
